This edition is based on an original ANDIE AIRFIX painting from his 1996 highly-acclaimed ‘ICON’ exhibition in London’s West End.

Michael Jackson is in one of his most memorable poses. Originally titled ‘It Doesn’t Matter If You’re Black or White’ it is a homage to the remarkable effect Jackson had on breaking down racial barriers through the power of his music. The graphic version of the original rococo gold-leafed frame in the 1996 exhibition is an intrinsic part of the edition a reference to the extravagance and opulence associated with ‘The King Of Pop’.The glitter glove on Michael’s left hand has been applied by the artist a personal touch which gives added dimension (and sparkle!) to the work.
