The inspiration for this particular piece has a story of its own. While scouting for locations in Barbados, Powell couldn’t find the right scene. But during a stopover in St Lucia, he remembered a crescent bay near the airport. Grabbing the moment, he sprinted across the runway, set up his camera, stepped into frame, and captured the perfect shot — an image now etched into music and design history.

Originally published in 2012, this giclée print is produced on Woodstock Felt 310 gsm paper using archival pigment inks. Each print is hand-signed by both Thorgerson and Powell, making it a rare collector’s item.
