Archive for Term: Granger, Michel

Michel Granger has lived in Paris since 1969 but his art takes him around the world: the United States, Colombia, Japan, Germany, Poland… and Roanne!
Trained at the Beaux-Arts in Lyon, he graduated in 1968. After a first professional experience in Roanne as a furniture designer, he moved to Paris where in 1972, his press drawings were published, notably in the newspaper Pilote. Notoriety came very quickly since from 1975 to 1985, his works illustrated the information of three daily newspapers of the first national channel as well as press magazines: Le Nouvel Observateur, Le Progrès, Paris Match… But these are mainly his creations
around the Earth which established his reputation: noticed by the composer and great art lover Jean-Michel Jarre, his original views of the blue sphere are reproduced on the covers of the globally successful musician. This duo marks the start of a fruitful journey for the painter.
